The Board of Governors accepted the report from the Paraprofessional License Implementation Committee regarding the development of a program to license professionals to provide limited legal assistance to clients in family law and landlord/tenant cases at its April, 2022 board meeting.
On July 19, 2022 the Oregon Supreme Court approved the proposal and draft rules that had been submitted for the court’s consideration. The new rules will take effect on July 1, 2023.
